144-hour visa-free transit policy is expected to provide more choices for foreign nationals traveling and doing business in China。

I have confirmed this with the China embassy. Malaysians has 15 day Visa free and Singaporeans given 1 month Visa free travel to anywhere in China. So , this 144 hours Visa free transit isn’t relevant to these travellers.

I have a few questions for you. I have a Canadian Passport and I'm visiting Hong Kong from Vancouver. If my flight ticket is Vancouver-Shanghai-Hong Kong for the outbound, and Hong Kong- Shanghai-Hong Kong- Vancouver, would this transit policy apply to either outbound and inbound flights? or is it a choice of only one of them? Can it be applied to both? In terms of leaving China onto a 3rd country, does it have to a non-stop flight directly to a 3rd country? or can I connect at the city where I came from and then onwards to the 3rd country ( In my case it would be flying home to Vancouver but connecting in HK) ? Thanks

You can do Vancouver-Shanghai-HK, and then HK-SH-Vancouver, or HK-SH-(a country/area that is not HK, a third area, that is)-Vancouver. Does it make sense?

Nice Vlog, I am travelling with 2 kids and we have two days stop over. We are Australian and the website said Australian can have 15 days free visa on arrival. Any idea on which visa line we should follow. Is it transit visa lane? We have hotel booking and travelling through air china to beijing

Hi Mary. Yes you're eligible for 144 hrs visa-free policy. But You have to fly from HK to Mainland China and then go to a third country/region. This means you can't return to HK. It's A (HK) to Mainlan China and to B (a third region). As for how to applying for it, you need to show your passport and a ticket with seats to a third region (not HK). Simply follow the guidance in the airport and do some paperwork there. You can enter Guangdong Province via 3 airports: Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (this one makes more sense to me as it's near Zhaoqing and not too close to HK), Shenzhen Bao'an Internaltional Airport, Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport. And you can leave for the third country via these airports and Meizhou Airport and Zhanjiang Airport as well as many other ports. Let me know if you have further questions.

@@smilingtatablue Hey there! Nah, unfortunately now Indonesians can’t yet enjoy the 72/144 hours visa-free transit policy. So you are gonna need to apply for the transit visa.
