Masdar (gerund) = a verbal-noun ie a noun derived from a verb. It is a noun that describes an action and is without tense. Masdar Muawwal (infinitive) = a combination of harf أن and a mudari' verb in it's mansoob form. The combination is also a noun and has the same meaning as it's corresponding masdar.
