Yeah seen phish well over 100 times and there is absolutely no comparison. But phish was pretty great musically for about 8 years from 92-99. Rest is mostly awful despite what their fans would have you believe. Dead were almost perfect til Brent passed.

@@DNeeds I'd say I've seen them about a dozen times between 94 & 99 & I really dug it at first but then I realized none of this makes sense or speaks to me with any meaning, it's just a bunch of squeals & pops & noodling around & I do think they're talented musicians with a skilled crew but I like my music to mean something & they just mean a good time in a parking lot to me

​@@Ian.420then youve completely missed the reality of the deads lyrics. Jerry himself pretty much said most of their songs are completely random, with no meaning in particular. Other than songs like Hes gone(which is about one of the drummers fathers stealing all their money while he was manager) and a few others i cant recall, but most songs are meant for the audience to absorb and come to their own basic realizations
