Back in the 2016 it’s much easier to score a Kelly or birkin by spending around 5-7k USD. Now you have to spend 1.5 to 1. This includes total purchases including leather bags.

100% agree! I scored my first start of 2017 but alot of people I know who shopped before that said the same they max needed to spend 7-10kAUD. Now here it's 1:1 or 1.5:1 ! Not including bags either

My sa told me the Kelly pochette doesn’t count as a quota when he offered me one.

It may have changed! But lots of stores still count it as a quota especially because it is now much more rare than ever since the introduction of mini Kelly.

CAn someone explain what does “being offered” a bag means? Like cant you just buy the bag you want in the colour you want? They are far from cheap so you should get the colour you want? And what does it mean you have to spend money on the boutique? Like i have to spend thousands of euros to buy stuff so i will be “eligible” to spend more thousands to get a bag i am offered? It is so weird and confusing.

Sadly U can't just buy whenever U want it what colour you want. You have to express an interest in either Birkin Kelly or Constance and either show loyalty with the SA (generally this means buying stuff from the brand) and then they may offer you a bag that you requested but it's hard to get exactly what you want. And no guarantee you will even get offered one of those bags (Birkin, Kelly, Constance)

I am back in 'lockdown' don't know when I can shop again. My dreambag is Constance mini or 24. but I love Picotin Lock 18 also. When the shops are open I hope I can score the Picotin Lock 18. I don't have a SA. I only have 2 items from Hermes: Bastia and Calvi. So fingers crossed 🤞

Picotin lock 18 isn't too hard of a bag to get may require waiting but usually just need to speak to an SA and ask them to waitlist you for the picotin in which ever colour you are after. If you want to build a relationship with a SA to score a constance later definitely watch my tips video on my channel that I posted a couple weeks ago☺️

The fact that homewares have a high commission is great news for me, I’m even more obsessed with the same than my dream Constance 18. Do you know about the commission on equestrian? There’s a few things I’d love from there as well. I think you’ve mentioned shoes are considered ready to wear for commission purposes, am I correct?

Equestrian is a forgotten category and definitely it's a top tier one!! Shoes arent as high as fine jewellery / RTW / home cos they are an easier sell. But definitely a great category than the latter of slgs etc

Hi Mel! Are you thinking the Paris “mothership” store?? I love this video and anything H related. Always fascinated about this brand. I feel you’re spot on. I have the best SA at the Miami boutique. I love and enjoy many of their products beyond leather goods (though don’t get me wrong, the B and K are the ultimate imo) esp home goods- beautiful porcelains and also love their silks/cashmeres. While I only buy what I love, I assume buying in these other categories have helped me score my B’s and K’s.

Extremely difficult in Sydney especially since Covid the demand has increased at that store and it’s quite normal to spend 30k on items before u get an offer let alone a mini Kelly… 😞

Just finally finished your video (had to take a commercial break in the middle 😆) Great insight babe! 💯 I’ve learnt a lot! I must say that quota aside, history at the store and a relationship with a great/lovely/sweet SA does matter! I was recently offered a B/K/C (don’t wanna reveal yet because I’ve a reveal vid coming up 🙊😂) after I went back to H after 7 months (because of covid and lockdown). I spent about 1/3 of the price of the bag, but not 2 days later, my SA texted me that she had a surprise. It was really unexpected 🤯 So I’d say that having a great H 🧚‍♀️ and a store manager who likes the client to a certain extent does matter! (Just realised that I’ve bought a fine jewelry piece so it might be why they offered the bag, as their commission for jewelry may be higher) I’m in Singapore and it’s super competitive here, I’ve been asking for 2 specific rodeos but it’s been months and my SA still haven’t received it or perhaps it’s offered to VVIP clients first 😭 It’s always such a joy to watch your videos! I always learn something new and it’s just so interesting! 💯

Yes absolutely if you find a fairy you are set I had one in my first and third SA. However "fairies" are not exactly easy to come by most people actually don't find them and follow the standard due process.

Hey, wanted to give some feedback:) Kelly Danse and Kelly Ado are actually the quota bags... I’ve bought a regular Kelly bag at the boutique today and I am still quite interested in getting Kelly Danse. So I asked my SA if she can write down my preferences for color&leather. I was sure KD is a quota bag and my regular Kelly wouldn’t influence on buying KD but my SA told me that unfortunately she cannot write it down rn as I have to wait about 6 months to get another bag, including Kelly Ado and Kelly Danse.

Definitely depends on the store the policy for quota bags is b/K and then constance can also be a quota bag but not at all stores same as Kelly pochette, KD and K ado. It varies per country and in the USA can vary per state. But what we do know is that globally B/K are quota bags no matter what 😂.
