Do you ever create a trendline on the opposite side and use that to help guide you towards where you think the next point of convergence (or tipping point) might be? I did one for the current uptrend on SPY using this method on a 6m 2h chart, using the 6/27 and 7/29 peaks and 7/13 and 7/26 troughs, and the stock played almost perfectly within these lines. It also indicated at the point of convergence that the stock should hit around 420-421 which she did and is now above the trendline and continuing to make new highs. Similar to creating a Bollinger Band. Would be curious to get your thoughts and really appreciate your video, it was solid.

thank you for this quick guide. I have a couple of doubts regarding interpretation of trendlines: (a) I generated a trendline for energy sales and it was horizontal. (b) I also generated the R-square value (0.34) for the trendline but couldn't really understand how to go about it. thanks!

Are peaks and trough the same as pivot points? If we take troughs for example, I can see that for each trough, the previous and following bar has a higher low, which it what a pivot point is.
