Today we take you on a tour through the telescope mansion. This property in Spain, has been abandoned ever since the lady of the house passed away in 2009. Her husband died previously, and was a well-known merchant in the local province. The heirs did not want the inheritance, as the house was carrying their mothers' last name, and not the reputed name of their fathers'. As a consequence, they repudiated the inheritance. The house has been at auction between 2010 and 2014, yet, without any success. As the property does not interest anyone at the moment, since it has a rather expensive pending reform, its grounds and contents are inevitably left to waste, and the mansion is still waiting for that one potential buyer who will ensure that there will be live again in the four walls of this glorious mansion.

True, many Millennials do not want large, expansive mansions too expensive to maintain, clean, and heat.

In the dining room, the crystal ash tray was made out of quartz. On the right side of the curio cabinet down on the side..the white set was for saki and the green set was for tea.

You know, they didn’t flaunt their wealth, you can tell by their furniture and the things they loved the most. These things were not extravagant, but they made the home comfortable. I would say , they loved life and it showed by the pictures. Ty for this grand tour. I’m sure their kids took only what ment the most to them. You never know! Tc and stay safe always.

lMOVERIT ALREADY : while it is sad I think it’s understandable considering family dynamics that have occurred from almost the beginning of time. I don’t have contact with my mother or her side of the family (because of her reoccurring behavioral problems) or even access to the photos belonging to them. Why doesn’t anyone want them? Sometimes those memories are too painful. Sometimes parents don’t approve of the “children’s” spouses causing fights/friction. Sometimes parents/children fall into addiction, etc etc. I haven’t personally fought over inheritance but have also seen that happen. Maybe the courts are involved and haven’t allowed anyone to remove even their personal belongings. So many possibilities.

It's called money. If you have it you don't need other people's belongings especially if you don't need the house holding all those contents. Those photos belong to the people who no longer cherish them in death.

Where the heck are the relatives, someone definitely has been going through their stuff, I can see it in the closets and attic with the suite cases. Please, familia take those precious photographs with you. Sell/devide among yourselves or donate their loved possessions. But please do not allow them to perish. I've lived in Spain 16 years and after watching this went to Google, found out the surname of this family and did some research. Wow how interesting, the same pictures came up of what I saw from the house and read all about the history of this family. Also, some local recent newspapers as how it's left abandoned. Such a shame, but very interesting. Thanks guys, love you,re exploring Spain, I've just subscribed 👍 so many abandoned houses here. Ownership, paperwork and heretige is different over here. Both of you guy 's have really found some fabulous places. They are best to see when left virtually untouched. It gives us a great view of how they lived. It is sad to see how life is just cut-off and the items of the house and property just remain to end in ruination. It sure puts our lives into reality quick. We all need to enjoy every moment we are given on this earth. Most of us are not near so wealthy, but our belongings are just as valuable to us. I sure hope my family will take my things and enjoy them. Nice job guys!!

Hi Maureno and Remon from the fabulous Explomo Urbexer team, I just simply love how you formulate your introductory narration, dear bro. It's simply awesome, and your Spanish road trip title is always a great joy to see, and I can hardly imagine, how much knowledge and work had to be invested to design it in this highly creative way. - There you really found once more an amazing mansion in quite a good state. Beautifully furnished rooms with interesting items and paintings are visible. - You both did such a good job with your filming and commenting. - Of course it is always sad to see the traces of decay in such an amazing location. I also loved to see this beautiful cabinet with the amazing collection of china figurines. - Although I don't know for sure, but some of these porcellain artefacts could be from "Rosental" or even "Meissen". - Also this sideboard was a really beautiful and probably very expensive piece of furniture. - The room with the telescope was really a great surprise! - Wonderful explore, dear friends. I am already looking forward to your next Urbex adventure! - Have still a lot of fun with Lesley in Bonaire. Wishing you a very blessed pre Christmas period, peace and kindest regards.

Awww, missed the live chat but watching this after working on a Sunday. Fantastic guys, great to see Remon here, and this series is amazing. I knew you guys would do Spain justice and you haven’t disappointed. I have to tell you I feel such a mix of emotions - fascinated but a part of me sad, especially when I see photo albums. This was virtually immaculate this house and the room with the telescope looked like something from a real estate website or something. Obviously an educated family with all their amazing books - art, politics, history, economics. My dream come true! So glad you got to tour around Spain as there is so much culture and history to uncover in private homes particularly. I lived there for 4 years and taught English so I have such a feeling for Spain. Great job as always Maureno and Remon ☺️

Dear Omar, thank you for your lovely comment. We're happy to read you're enjoying the Spain Series so far. There are still plenty of episodes to follow of very interesting places. The "mix of emotions" you describe perfectly fits the way we feel about these places often as well. It is beautiful to wander through these homes, but it also makes you aware that you can not take any possessions with you when you pass away. Many of the items are very personal and it is sad to see these objects left unloved. We agree to you that the interior and contents of the house were absolutely fascinating. It was a dream for us to explore this place too, after years of searching it. Spain is a wonderful country. We will surely be back there again in the future. Keep enjoying the series and take lots of care. And, thank you again Omar! :D Best wishes, Maureno & Remon :-)

@@Explomo Dear Maureno and Remon, thanks for your sincere and thoughtful reply. I greatly appreciate it and it is why you guys deserve 100k and many more subscribers. I can honestly say there are no other KZbin channels I enjoy more and engage in as much as yours. Urban exploring is an art form with you guys and done with such sensitivity and educationally by you both. Great role models for others. I totally agree, it’s so accurate what you say. You can’t take these possessions with you after you pass away. Doesn’t matter if you are the richest or most humble we all go with nothing. The consolation for me is that from Portugal to Sweden to Belgium and Italy the places you’ve documented show such rich and fulfilling lives. Incredible to me how we often focus on the princes and nobility but actually some of the most curious and interesting places have been smaller private homes you’ve explored. The Iranian style house in France you did last year I think, was one that sticks in my mind saying this, but there are of course many others. Spain is a great country. I can’t wait to see even more exciting parts of the series and another in the future hopefully. Apologies for my long reply but wanted to express how genuinely fantastic I think you guys are. Keep going and as soon as I get some money together you guys will be my first Patreon subscription! Keep going strong and stay safe too. All the best wishes and look forward to seeing much more of you guys :-)

Heartbreaking to see so much going to ruin. Makes me want to cry! Wish I could afford the place, I move to Spain and repeat it. Save the stuff inside. Really enjoyed this explore.👍❤😊

Very interesting that people with so much riches will keep some gaudy, cheap “ornaments” displayed among extremely rare and expensive items.

I love all of the veidos of Spain. I don't know what one I love the best. The inside of this place is superb, and I love the libraries with all the books. I liked the stained glass window that was on the wall. It must of been a beautiful and happy house in at one time. Now It's sad, with no one taking care of it. Take care. 🌈

How utterly sad. I love the idea of a basement done in tiles. I think the first kitchen is what we call a Butlers Pantry (has a sink).

Most definitely sad that the children are not looking after the place anymore and just leave all of their parents' belongings unloved and left to decay.
