Even though my wife and I have travelled this route in past years Rt. 128 to Moab, Utah is still one of my favorite states to explore . Great job narrating and telling the story of these little towns.. Thank you!!

Thank you very much! I’m definitely learning as I do these videos and this was our first time in Moab and it’s truly surreal, can’t wait to go back! the next video comes out Sunday and we had a chance to sit at dead horse point at sunset and rode back in the super moon and that was pretty special - thank you again!

I used have a small ranch north on Moab. It was definitely a coal mining area that fed the three large power plants in Emery County. Moab wasn't a far drive for us. The Castle Valley was one of the filming areas for the show West World. Autumn was one of the best times for us locals to wander around Moab. Not to hot or cold. But I enjoyed watching the video, since I recognized so very much of the landscape. In Green River, you forgot to mention the John Wesley Powell Museum, who and his team explored that area and the Colorado River Basin. Cant remember how many times in the late spring we'd ride the rapids along the Green River it self. In September they have the Melon Festival which is fun to taste all the varieties of melons they grow there. I now live in North Carolina but i surely do miss my desert of that region. Thank you for the wonderful video.

And more importantly, thank you for all the tips and tidbits. I love learning about these places! And it gives us ideas for when we can go back I think the melon festival would be so much fun! I am so glad you enjoyed the video and I am putting one out on Sunday with a little more riding down the 128 and then onto few other areas as well. It’s sitting in the QE and we are actually in the car right now and headed back to visit some of the areas we missed on the bikes! There is so much fantastic history and the country is jaw-dropping beautiful we loved Green River. I wish we had stayed longer. Thank you again!

@lisalancastertravels o Oh, one small tidbit for you to think about. The highway from I-70 to Moab, now State Hwy 128, used to be State Hwy 666. We used to call it the Devils Highway. Also, South of Moab is road that can take you to the Ski Resort of Telluride. It's a quaint old west sort if town and the road going south to Cortez, CO is absolutely beautiful in fall. The road runs south along the Deloris River with the Deloris Mountain Range behind it. That whole area in fact, if you spent an entire year there, I doubt you would be able to see everything that there us to see. And btw, the first weekend in October, in Shiprock NM is the Navajo Shiprock Fair. So many beautiful and handmade jewelry and other things.
