In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzbin.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Trying to find out if I can use it for ice fishing & nobody seems to know. If Hummibird does it isn't saying.

This system will have a circular flasher view that you can utilize and would use the ice transducer, XI 9 20. Love my Humminbird, but does the new stuff have the feature I've been asking for: i.e. can you save waypoint sets by lake? (for folks who fish numerous lakes) Also, does it have a simple notepad option for waypoints? (would be nice to know why I marked a spot when I come back a year later) Looking at (e.g.) W010 ain't ringin' any bells... Can I hook it up to my trolling motor steering servo? Trolling by waypoints (or better yet routes) would rock my world! Oh well, guess I'm spending too much time daydreaming on the water...

I have the Helix 7 Si Gps Gn2 unit, i have tried all sorts of screens and have been unable to see anything on the Side Imaging and Down Imaging screens, what gives. I've turned visible feature for both and still nothing, just a black vision for both. Please advise!

i still haven't found a way bring out the spaghetti lines as you travel on gps. my other 7 has lines instantly. how do i get them .....keeps you in the channel. help please

Hi Drew - Data sharing can only occur on a HELIX 7 G2N model. If you do not have a G2N model it will not be able to network to any other devices.
