The task management (tabbing and grouping everything, setting aside, minimize to desktop or Taskbar) is just so cool. Program Manager vibes from Windows 3.1 lol. Mixing it up with multiple ways to manage the same tasks adds workflow efficiency. You can't "lose" tasks you minimized to the desktop, because it's on the set aside menu. Very cool.

Something I've always thought was interesting is that channels like this that make these concepts almost *always* focus on it "looking modern", when there's so many other things you could actually improve to the functionality. UX is important, but win 11 is about as complicated and modern as it realistically needs to be. Widgets and stuff are super easy to make in Rainmeter, which is free and works super well. I think a "real" new OS would be much different. One problem we have nowadays is that we have one windows version that all kinds of users get, despite having different needs. Mac has always been much more user friendly to less tech-savvy users, while Windows' ability to hack around any problem makes it super useful for those who know how to use it well. Maybe splitting these two ideas would be a good next step for Windows. You'd have a top level version for usual work and entertainment, and another for developers, enthusiasts, and very tech savvy users to use fully. Sometimes I feel that Windows tries to pander to both, being too scared to improve either experience for fear of scaring off the other. Back when 10x was a thing, this might have been what they were going for. Another idea could be scrapping the idea of a "window" entirely. The desktop metaphor has been in place since the 90s, and maybe some other ideas would suit modern needs better. One of the main strengths of chromebooks is the focus on being able to get to the exact thing you're focusing on as quickly as possible. In my experience, I don't tend to be flipping from window to window very often with Chrome OS' design. Windows, however, encourages you to have hundreds of tabs open to see everything you're trying to find, especially if you're doing something complicated like programming, where you need to see more programs than you can comfortably fit on your monitor. Rethinking the design could lead to more tasks being in one app at the same time, which saves time and let's 3rd party apps choose how they want to organize UI. These are just a few ideas, but I would like to see an OS concept that dealt with design decisions like these in the future.

Dont think it's easy to make an OS, specially with a GUI. You need to know a low level assembly language and C, C++. Animations won't be easy. I'm an OS Developer myself and I know the pain.

honest review: looks really cool especially the desktop loved the layout of the task bar but the widgets don't feel quite right on the desktop they seem to fit better in the start menu could have improved that a bit by adding blur begind the start menu but the file manager tho... it feels waay too unintuitive its better to have a consistent grid of folders rather than centering everything and why is the paste button in a random corner God i hope atleast ctrl+c and ctrl+v works and one more thing, there are some icons at the bottom when the file explorer is maximised if those are not part of the file explorer and remain there for every maximised app, it might obstruct some apps edit:nvm they are just a part of the file explorer but that means there's no maximised mode only fullscreen? 5:18 that colour and white text? really? also blur background in all the transparent apps would look really cool

Es basícamente un re-skin con diferente paleta de colores y diferente estilo de trabajo a un proyecto llamado Advan OS, y que de hecho se está haciendo un Distro verdadero de Linux, aunque han tenido problemas internos entre uno de los programadores y se tuvo que hacer otro discord, ahi suben capturas de los avances, fondos de pantalla, animaciones,etc.

Dinero y poco funcional. Ya hay distritos de linux con una interfaz de escritorio similar, no igual pero si muy parecidas, tienden a consumir muchísimo más de windows y casi siempre incluyen bugs.

Yo he trabajo con sistemas embebidos que no deja ser el core para crear un sistema operativo entonces entiendo bastante el kernel de linux. Hacer un sistema operativo así no da a lugar, los distintos formatos de participación sería difícil ya que Windows no es capaz de adaptarse a la partición ext4 y hacer un remix entre ambos sería una catástrofe a nivel de estructura que es lo que implementa este vídeo. Como concepto está bien, muy bien pero como realidad lamentablemente no sería apto para trabajar y tendría miles de fallos que tendrían que pulir y podrían tardar años y años en hacer un sistema estable y dudo que sin financiación y un equipo detrás recibiendo ofertas de la competencia decidan seguir el proyecto.

@@maruanboukhriss381 FAT es universal y funciona bien en los dos sistemas operativos, pero si, es imposible este concepto como tal si lo vemos como si fuera nativos los dos sistemas, pero hoy en día con herramientas de emulación y traducción se puede básicamente correr cualquier aplicación de Windows en Linux (Mientras dicha aplicación no tenga una forma de prevenir esto, por ejemplo la suit de Adobe que las últimas versiones te niegan esto).

Based off what I can tell, his mouse never changes to that clicking animation when he presses buttons, so it’s probably just a bunch of slides with morph and animations and he’s going in order with a script

@@zwartekatten i don't see why it wouldn't be able to make the mouse change. unless he uses mouse over and some visual basic to detect if the mouse is clicking which would be dumb and inefficient. maybe it does click and his windows cursors doesn't have the normal clicking cursor and he changed it to look like it isn't clicking.

Looks gorgeous, but.... sorry, application centric desktops are a pet peeve of mine. When designing Windows 95, Microsoft asked how easy it is to start Word, not how easy it is to open your files. Now we're stuck with desktops that are optimised to open applications while making it difficult to open / organise files. Before Windows 95, most desktops were document centric, you could just put all files of a project into a folder and start applications by opening the files. Looking at the video, there's space for dozens of applications, but only for about five files? The assumption seems to be that the user opens about three documents a day, and, using folders, has a total of around 25 documents on the computer, including photos and videos. I like the design, but application centric desktops are impractical. For example, you must have used hundreds of images just for this one video, so what sort of desktop would have helped you with that? What would a desktop look like that puts organising your projects front and centre? What would it look like to have images, videos, notes, links, etc. of a project in one place rather than spread out over several applications that don't talk to each other? I'd love to see a concept that shows how to start a project, work at it and complete it. And how to stay organised when someone asks a question about another project. Or when you look up something from a different project. All of this should be simple, but is unnecessarily difficult in an application centric desktop.
