* Join me on a full and uncut virtual (16 km) tour in which we traverse Khlong Bangkok Yai, via the Chao Phraya River. Khlong Bangkok Yai is a historic Khlong (canal) in Bangkok, Thailand, and a significant cultural tourism site in the city. The canal passes through three districts, namely Bangkok Yai, Thon Buri, and Phasi Charoen.
*Several Buddhist temples and historic sites will be seen in this video, including Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, known for its "Phra Buddha Dhammakāya Thepmongkhon", a 70m image of Buddha made of bronze, and Wichai Prasit Fort.

* Our trip starts from Jack's Bar ( a popular resto-bar for tourists and locals, known for its friendly staff, delicious Thai food, and scenic river view) in Charoen Krung 42/1 Alley, Bang Rak district. It is just a 7 min walk (470m) from BTS Saphan Takin Station (BTS SIlom Line). A 40 to 60min trip costs 1,200 THB ($37) per long-tail boat. Ideal for individuals, couples, families, or small groups of friends who prefer to tour privately and exclusively. Long-tail boats' passenger capacity varies from the boat's size, 6 -8 pax can be accommodated per trip. Life vests are provided for passengers. Btw, trips to other locations along the Chao Phraya River (Wat Arun etc) are also available.

Love your video and description. I would like to know a but more hope you don't mind. 1200 bahts for an hour long ride is a fixed price or must bargain? What time is best to take a ride? Do we need to order food from Jack Bar. Thank you.

Hi Peter. So sorry for the late reply. 1200THB afaik is the fixed price. No harm in trying to bargain though but do try to give the boat driver a tip after the trip. The best time to ride is before noon. The place opens at 11am. You can go for the boat ride even if you don't dine in. But I do suggest doing the ride first then have lunch at the same establishment afterwards. Their meals are awesome yet affordable. Staff and owners are very accommodating too. Btw, you can order beer and bring it on the boat trip, the boat you hire from them is yours exclusively. There are other long tail boats in other areas but they charge per person. In Jack's, the price is per boat. Hope this helps 😊

@Peter Tran You can stop at temple piers like the one in Wat Paknam but the waiting time for the boat is limited (10mins or less?) Good for taking quick photos but certainly not enough for a full visit.. I suggest a different day to visit and another mode of transportation to the temples you want to tour. Believe me, even an hour exploring and enjoying these tourist spots isn't enough. 😊 Regards!
