Great tips y'all! That little inflatable bag for your valuables is really cool, I would have never thought of that. Bug spray is such an issue for me, while I hate bugs and getting bit I also LOATHE the feeling of bug spray on my body. That's why we really enjoy the cold weather adventures so much. We had heard that Hawaii was very expensive for food. When we went to Iceland we made almost every meal we ate, I think we ate our less than 5 times in two weeks, that helped save a ton. (Did you eat the heck out of the premade sandwiches from Kronan when y'all were there? 🤣) It's such as a shame people have to be reminded of staying away from wild life, we saw a lot of people in Yellowstone a few years ago getting way too close and it just confuses us so much, they're not pets and they do not want you near them. Bookmarking this video for when we finally plan our trip to Hawaii. Looking forward to your 2024 travels! -Andrew, Candice, and Riley 🐾

The inflatable bag is a really nifty find! We were a little skeptical about using it because we were worried about water possibly getting in there and totally destroying our phones, but it worked well! We feel you on the bug spray. I’ve heard some essential oils may help as a bug deterrent, so maybe that would be a happy medium for your guys. One thing to keep in mind though is if you’re planning on getting in the water after using any products, make sure they’re reef safe. 🪸 We were the same way in Iceland! We mainly lived off of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and gas station hot dogs for a week. That was a fun adventure in itself. Luckily we didn’t see anyone getting too close to the wildlife in Hawaii, but obviously it still happens and that’s why there’s signs.
