when i saw this flash blown away at the scope and magnificence of this story. really drives home the point that homestuck is one of the greatest works of our time, a story that should be cherished as was Shakespeare's work, and looked back on by our older selves and our kin with a sense of awe and wonder.

How? Adobe has killed Flash. Nobody will be able to see it as it was intended to be seen a few years from now. :( (And while I hate Flash, Homestuck is the single thing that has done most to justify its continued existence. Not in the idea that they're "far too late" to join the club, but they're all getting up from that waterslide with a long face. Remember how the story was so brutally written that Hussie probably drew 89 train tracks intersecting more than once, as a timeline concept? Remember the need to open up the dictionary every new word you never heard of? Remember the 120+ characters? Remember the sexy-sad-depressing-trance-chill soundtracks like this? It was fun while it lasted. REMEMBER: Andrew Hussie, a computer science graduate, handled Homestuck all by himself perfectly fine at the start, living in his moms basement. How did a group of 15 grown ups ruin the comic in the end before they absconded?

I don't mean to be dramatic but I would literally consider Homestuck a literary masterpiece. The size of the story was incredible. The tiniest things ended up being relevant. At first it felt like a few unrelated stories, but they all gradually came together. It's a far more accurate depiction of teenagers than a lot of what I see, which is surprising coming from a story in a setting like this. And it is definitely good LGBT rep, good storytelling, and good pacing.
