Such a compelling video. It makes me think to get out more with friends to book mini-vacations. I messaged my friend about going to Banff and Lake Louise at the end of January. They have a wonderful hot springs in Banff.

Are these ads being played to anyone OTHER than British Columbians? Are British Columbians paying for these ads? Ask yourself "Why is our province trying to promote itself to its own citizens?"

Great questions, thank you for asking! Currently, we are not marketing anywhere outside of BC, with every decision made being guided by the latest provincial health directives. The province of BC is quite vast and there is so much to see - in fact, at 944,735 square kilometres, British Columbia is bigger than France and Germany combined, or almost four times the size of Great Britain! As many British Columbians will be taking staycations this year, we are promoting all of the wonderful experiences that residents can enjoy in the communities that are open for visitors, while supporting local tourism businesses in every corner of the province.

I'm planning a road trip from Victoria to the Yukon next week - videos like this help with my research. I'm glad BC is putting out videos like this!

Tristan Redman are you on the road already? How is Yukon? Do you mind sharing

@@yhuang249 We did the trip a couple weeks ago. The Yukon was beautiful, and the weather was nice (highs of 20c). We drove up to Dawson City, and along the Dempster Highway to the Arctic Circle. It was an amazing trip. We drove the Stewart-Cassiar highway up, and took the Alcan back down - I would skip the Alcan and just go back down the Stewart-Cassiar as it was much more scenic.
