Motorcycles suffer from altitude sickness the same as humans. There just isn’t enough oxygen to make horsepower, but this was a very cool attempt.

The motorcycle you are using is a Classic Royal Enfield, a great bike but at very high altitudes and with just (20 horses) from that 350 Classic you are on could be rather difficult. Plus your weight and the luggage...the terrain looks difficult as well. The clutch will get trashed and engine will overheat... Always a smart idea to turn back down... Great channel, and beautiful scenery my friend!! Take care, and good luck.

Great to see you again, my friend! Those are some tough roads you tried this time around... Only tractors got by. Good to try though and as far as you got it was beautiful for us and worth it. My wife used to say if you stayed in a room without room service then you were just camping so even though you were inside you remained true to the journey. Just didn't have to put up a tent! At 12,000 feet I would be more out of power than the bike. Excellent photography of your magnificent back yard. Always appreciate you and your continuing adventures!

Another great video. You show the AdventureBike riders what is possible with a classic machine. Maybe you should talk to your dealer or a workshop master, your machine has a carburetter, you can use other nozzles for such heights.

May I disagree? The journey is the destination. A more capable machine may make covering the distances easier but that is not the purpose of this travelling. As a current rider of a cast iron Bullet every ride is an adventure.

i totaly believe in the enfield its a wonderful bike, it just appears first gear is just not low enough at times, i wonder if a larger front sprocket would make the difference needed for those steep steep areas you just need a lower gearing and that thing should be able to billy goat up anything maybe look into it. thanks for the video it amazing great job.

A smaller (front) sprocket would be in order to make the gearing easier on steeper inclines....
