I was disappointed to see how over crowded and over priced Istanbul has become. I was there a week ago and everything is a tourist trap. Even prices for local street food are absurd and more expensive than in USA. I have lived in Turkey and visited Istanbul many years ago but unfortunately everything is now a scam or a over priced tourist trap in Istanbul. I would recommend visiting small towns and other cities like Bursa and Izmir instead.
