about the amazing bass fishing on Lake Okeechobee. Then, head to downtown Belle Glade to
meet mayor Steve Wilson and learn about why the community in the Glades is so special.
Grab a flavorful meal at local hotspot, Banyan Tree Restaurant in Belle Glade. This family owned
spot has been serving up southern favorites for breakfast and lunch that pack a flavor punch.
Frank meets the scientists behind important agricultural research and conservation work at the
UF/IFAS Everglades Research and Education Center. Learn how the humble Glades region is a
major player in the nation’s agriculture landscape.
Relax at the Belle Glade municipal golf course where the views and vibes are made for a good
time. The course has a laid back feel and open greens are the perfect place for a memorable
round. Then, Frank makes a stop at local institution, Mr. Shrimp. The family business is the
place to go for fresh and flavorful seafood dishes with a special attention to quality.
Frank takes in a show at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center in Belle Glade. The theatre is on
the Belle Glade Campus of Palm Beach State College, and is dedicated to bringing a variety of
cultural and entertainment performances to the community. Of special note are their efforts to
introduce youth to the arts. Finally, it’s time to take the leap at Skydive Palm Beach. Located on
the banks of Lake Okeechobee in Pahokee, tandem skydive instructors guide visitors on
unforgettable experiences.
