My first reaction? Offer them to the local volunteer FD as practice burn houses. Maybe you can salvage some stuff but my guess is the rodents, critters and mold got to it all first. No thanks!

Great to see you back again Shane! We were getting a little worried since your last video was several weeks ago. These 2 houses are in terrible condition and are filled with low value contents along with loose plaster and loose building materials. You need to quote these in the thousands to make it worthwhile. You also have significant structural damage that causes dangerous hazards during the junk removal process. Quote the clean out high or just walk away is my recommendation. Bid it extremely high. I've done cleanouts like that. You'll need hazmat suits and proper respirators for that job. I'd bid $35,000 on the high. Maybe go down to $29,000.

In my county here in North Carolina. The fire department will have a controlled burn on homes like that. Thats what I'd do. Shane we love you but you really had an awesome show when Bob and you were dumpster diving. I'm sorry just telling the truth.

That first house is dangerous . Ceiling caving in , holes in the floors . Safety issues for you and your helpers . If I owned that property , I'd just bull doze it, and clear the rubble after . The second house isn't as sketchy as the first . I don't know the square footage of that house . But here's what I'd do , take the square footage and multiply it by how high you think the pile of junk is if it was spread out evenly over the house . Then divide this by 27 , which will give you the approximate figure of the cubic yards of junk . Multiply that by your total cost of what you'd charge per cubic yard . Factor things in like labour,, dump fees, fuel , and if you rent a bin . Don't give an exact price give a range . And you may want to ask kindly to see other written quotes and see if you can do it for that price . That's how I'd do it . Terrible after raccoons and squatters were in those houses . Whenever I see abondened homes, shopping malls etc on KZbin, I always wonder what went wrong .

It's great to see you again! Both of those houses definitely need hazard pay on them, esp the 2nd one with a whole supporting wall gone in the basement, and the truckfuls of raccoon poop. Personally, I don't know why they want to bother, because both houses are tear-downs. I'd pass because of the risk to life and limb. But buy a pair of disposable shoes at Walmart if you go in there! I'd say at least 3K on each one, if not a LOT more.

Looks like the owners don't know what they are doing. They should just demolish both houses and take it all to the dump. But if you want some money, bid 27,500 for each house. I don't think they will find anyone who will have a reasonable bid for them.

Hi Shane, been a while had surgeries. If you want to work, if you have the help, id say no less than $25,000, maybe even $30,000....these houses were probably bought cheap, theyre "flippers". Take into consideration the hazards, the labor, the feces, and see what happens, but be prepared and equipped to do them good luck.

I would bid about $6000 per house to clean those out. If you get the job be sure to wear prething protection because raccoon poo has roundworm eggs which can be inhaled and very difficult to treat in humans. Bid high enough that they will not use you and if they do you make some real good money on it.

Too much risk and someone might get hurt when those rotten floorboards get used repeatedly on demolition day. Tell those people the stark truth about how those properties are not saveable. Update: the second house might be salvageable IF water didn’t go in and saturate the flooring joists etc.
