I'll be visiting Venice next month, and I've watched dozens of videos about the city. but yours is by far the most detailed and informative one. the shots, the editing, the locations, everything about your videos is perfect. How do you not have 1m subscribers already? can't wait to explore the city while doing the things you have mentioned. PS: I also enjoyed your video about Milan, which I will also be visiting soon.

The sign of a great travel video is to engage the viewer and to hold their interest even though they may never had an interest in ever visiting the destination featured. Congratulations, I now need to add Venice to my bucket list.

While I may not share your opinions, thanks to your recount I can see this place in a fresh new light. You have a genuineness and originality about you that is priceless. When you mentioned Canaletto at Gallerie dell'Academia, I thought it was a slip up, as it is commonly broadcasted that the only "Canalettos" in Venice are at Ca' Rezzonico. So I checked and you're right! Thanks for the tip! There are 2 or 3 of them at the Galleria.

Hi Polly! Thank you very much for your video. I've never been in Italy before this July. I thought, Venice is a boring city, for some reason, with a lot of unpleasant odors. We stayed in Treviso (because our flight was here, it's cheaper, it costs 3.80 EUR only for Treviso - Santa Lucia trip on train), and it was good option to start investigating Italy, see their trains, people, life in not-a-very touristic city (but we also love Treviso, it's very cozy). Did you ever mention that Venice is a city of smells? Wood, bricks, pizza, water, literally everything here smells so "colorful" while you're walking around the city. We really felt in love with this city. But we did not see Venice at evening, at early morning, at night, because of our hotel's location. We checked main island almost fully (with a couple of churches, some museums). It was so amazing that we decided to visit this city once again soon. That's why I'm checking videos about Venice :) And your video is the best, you're very attractive person with good speach and good manners. Thank you for this content!

@@ClassicPolly We rented an apartment near the Rialto bridge before Covid hit. This time we have an apartment near Campo Bandiera e Moro. We have a great terrace and in a section of Venice we have not spent much time in. I think we're most likely going to do the Vespa Prosecco trip but other than that we're in Venice for the 9-10 days. Venice is still very magical to us. We also met a local guide that's going to show us around a bit but other than that, we don't really mind getting lost. Pretty easy to find your way back from anywhere. Thanks for the videos! Be well!

I loved this video. I'm heading there for 4 days then to the Greek Islands in Sept.. Any must do rooftop bars or restaurants, champagne or prosecco tastings, unusual not meantioned experiences? Also, what to wear in Venice when using a carry on in Sept and also having to dress for warm weather in the Islands. Sounds like it is worth paying from the airport to your hotels front door. Thank you so much for the great informitive video :)

Happy you enjoyed this video Debi! I have a second video about Venice (The Grand Canal - 5 spots With Great Views). Feel free to check it out - it might answer your rooftop bar/restaurant question. We were in Venice in September 2020 and it was very warm. I was wearing summer dresses during the day and had a jacket/light sweater for the evening. Once the sun sets, it gets pretty chilly. Being so close to the sea, the weather in Venice does change quite a bit. Temps might drop quite considerably overnight, you just need to keep an eye on the weather app. Hope this helps :)

How do you get from Marco Polo airport to the city center? Via driving on the road or water taxi?
@ClassicPolly
@ClassicPolly 10 ай бұрын
You have two options, take the bus from the airport and it will take you to the “land part of the Venice” (the tickets are reasonably cheap) or jump on a boat that goes to the city centre straight away. The tickets are twice the price of the bus ticket (if I remember correctly) but the views are stunning.
