It doesn’t matter the gearboxes are crap in all the models. You Aussies haven’t had them long enough to find out that all our American trucks are complete plastic junk. It makes us laugh, you guys really want our overpriced crappy trucks & all while you got the 2 best trucks you can get GQ & GU Patrols & certain Landcruiser models we don’t get. You guys don’t know how lucky you are.

@@triggerhappy8872 Wrong, the Ram is 10 times better than those crappy 79's. In standard form they are terrible, you need to change the rear axle assembly, need to upgrade the seating, need upgrade the infotainment system, need to do a costly engine upgrade, the brakes are terrible, the suspension needs to be upgraded, the manual gearbox is terrible, a lot of people upgrade the alternator has well, they tow terrible, I can go on and on.

My 80 is all stock but with 35s have no problems stopping accelerating id rather have a dog of a car than something thats over priced stellantis trucks breaking down miles into the forest. They have lots of issues like dropping valves transmission failure no cars are perfect but i would stay far away from american trucks besides the 6.7 ps in the new ford superduty is good with the cp3 pump swap otherwise the fuel system will eat itself.. american trucks were designed to drive for hours on end while towing on the road and they do a great job but would never offroad one
