I don't think they can just add more sand to the beach, as the ocean will wash it away again. If they really want a wider beach in Kuta they'd have to move everything back (and higher up) for at least 10 meter, if not more. Impossible with the hotels, bike/walking path and food stalls. And it would be very expensive. What would be better is to make safe steps down to the beach and also some kind of secure barrier at the edge, so that children (and drunk people) don't fall down.

memang pelik sih, dipasang pemecah ombak bakalan diprotes yg surfing. mau nggak mau memang kasih batu gede buat penahan ombak dan selalu diguyur pasir baru setiap beberapa bulan
