Gday, I found your videos recently and really like it them. Im from WA and it’s motivating/inspiring watching your vids, I also like your gear reviews. I drive on the beach almost daily and recently got an ARB twin motor compressor, and they are a game changer, pumps your Tyres up in about a minute - they are expensive, but worth the money if your putting pressure up and down all the time. Anyway, travel safe 🤙

Quick question. Are you happy with the power that the newer dmaxs produce? Ive driven some older dmaxs (2018 model) and i thought they were down on power compared to the older straight 4 and 5 cylinder ranger's etc. Just asking becauae ive got a mate whose considering buying.
@explorebound10 ай бұрын
The stock power is ok, definitely not as powerful as the others on the market but manageable even with all the weight. I recently had mine tuned which made a dramatic difference to all-round performance.

@explorebound interesting to hear. The dmaxs I had experience with ehere obviously 4x4 and they were automatic. I was doing subcontracting for this bloke who had two of them doing Rrural fencing. Loaded up with star pickets and strainers, etc. on the trailers, driving offroad, I found I had to rev them to 4000rpm to get anywhere in any timely manner. I'd say to the boss "jeez you really have to rev the hell out of these things" and he said, "Don't worry about it that's the the way they're meant to run". I don't know about that, but maybe a tune would have helped. Apart from the lack of power, they were solid offroad and were very stable towing.

We take flat bread on our camping trips, both long and short. Keeps well unrefrigerated and takes up next to no room. Edit: you can also get GF flat bread/taco.
@ianweal308110 ай бұрын
Yeh, we carry flat bread as a backup, purely because it takes up no room plus just keeps so friggin well, then on occassions when our first choice of fresh bread goes mouldy, we have a decent backup, haha. Great advise for others.
