For everyone asking how the fox got up there, this nest is on the side of a cliff on Catalina Island, not high up in a tree. This makes it easier for other animals to access the nest. The wing tag is for scientific purposes, these are wild eagles.

@G K Agreed. I saw this one video clip, where a mother forgot for a second, that she had a kid in a stroller or cart of some kind. She let go of it for a second, but it was on a slope, and started rolling away from her. And it rolled so far, so fast, that it was right at the road, before she managed to stop it, just as a car was coming. That clip really p*ssed me off, and parents like that, should honestly lose their kids to CPS. (Child Protective Services) And be stripped of the right to have more children in the future, and be sterilized, in severe cases of neglect. Because having children is not something to be taken lightly, and when they're small like that, children has to be watched constantly. And letting go of the thing your transporting the kid in, is the dumbest thing you can do, if everything goes south, like it did in that clip. I don't have kids myself, but I get very annoyed, when kids are sledding down the (trafficked) road outside my house, as there are several other roads crossing in the other direction. So while there may not be any cars in front or behind them, what about the left or right directions? But I have decided not to care, because clearly it will take an accident to happen, before the parents puts a stop to this dangerous activity by their kids.

It's a Tree fox, also known as a grey fox (Urocyon). It's not a very common animal. But it does climb trees very well, and can even leap from branch to branch.

@Silly Witch I have seen some videos from the former channel Pam Aus, that filmed wild Bald Eagles in Alaska and they make chirping sounds like little birds. Same goes for short videos made by people that lives in Alaska or Northern Canada where those are the only if not predominant species of birds of prey. They sound like a mix between a Black Bird, a Trumpet Swan, a Canada Goose and a Sparrow, nothing that can fit in with the expectations in the vocalizing of a big bird like an Eagle, usually you never heard them making sounds, it’s like when you hear for the first time a penguin making a sounds.

Your video capturing the eagle's reaction to an intruder by the nest is... grrreat! My tame female kestrel, living totally free outside, attracted and mated with a wild male kestrel... laying her clutch of 5 eggs in a nestbox rigged up just INSIDE of my study window! Sat outside on the roof guttering one day, she spotted me videoing her from the garden below and launched a direct attack... whack! Feeling a stinging sensation on my head I parted my hair and saw the 2 tramlines of blood... her talons had scraped along my scalp! Then, she blitzed me AGAIN whilst videoing her chicks close up... whack! I have it all on VHS video... somewhere... should I root it out and put it on KZbin... how's about a vote... should I dig it out?
