We visited Serampore on 10th of October, 2021 for a day trip. This suburban town 25 km north of Kolkata has a enchanting history. It was Danish occupied colony and has deep relationship with Denmark, it all started in 1755 when Danish Asiatic Company got permission for settlement here from the then Nawab Alaverdi Khan for the purpose of Business. Unlike their British and French counterpart, these Danish people concentrated only in business and not in any military adventure. However, in 1777, this area was annexed with Denmark under the direct rule of king of Denmark and an Administrative head was introduced. Serampore was known as FrederikNagore after Frederic V, King of Denmark.
Due to suprimacy of Britishers, Denmark king decided to sell Serampore to Britishers in the year 1845.
In the year 1800, Baptist Missionary William Carey came to Serampore, he was a social reformer and established a press, a college and educated local people with western education.

But this year innumerable number of verified visuals and proof have emerged up in several social media platforms where it is clearly seen that the Durga Pandals and Idols of Maa Durga are being vandalised by the Fanatic mob which consists of Bangladeshi Muslims. Though it started with a false provocation in Comilla, but it spread like wildfire almost in all Districts of Bangladesh wherever the Minority Bengali Hindus celebrated their Durga Puja. In comilla, on Maha Ashtami itself the idol of Maa Durga was immersed in water by the violent mob, which shows utter disrespect towards Hindu religious faith and practise. The global religious organizations like Ramakrishna Mission, ISKCON haven’t been spared too. Countless number of injuries and deaths and vandalization of Pandals and idols have been reported till date and the most horrific incident which has crossed all limits is the rape of a 10 year old minor girl who eventually died because of excessive blood loss. And all the incidents could take this shape solely because of the indifferent attitude of the Administration. Is this the secular Bangladesh BangaBondhu Sheikh Mujibar Rahaman dreamt of while spending his days behind Bars In Pakistan? Is this why lakhs of Surjo Shantan sacrificed their life for the independence of Bangladesh? Is this why mothers like Sahid Janani Jahanara Imam lost their sons and daughters for the liberation war? Bongobondhu said “The red circle in the Bangladesh Flag symbolize the blood of the Sahid SurjoShantan/MuktiJodhhas sacrificed for the liberation war of Bangladesh”. I firmly believe he never distinguished that blood as that of Hindus or that of Muslims. With full respect to the sovereignty of the Nation State of Bangladesh, people all over the world across all continents have condemned this barbaric attack on the Religious Minorities in Bangladesh. Even the news was published in all reputed news channel across the world namely Newyork Times, CNN. Several US Congressmen and other elected representatives have vent out their angst about this medieval mindset prevailing in twenty first Century. They opined, had the Law enforcement agencies been active and take cognizance of the issue at the very outset , the Hindu Minority massacre would never have reached this gruesome magnitude. This would Globally definitely tarnish the image of your country in General and the present ruling dispensation in specific. In this regard I would request your esteemed office to look into this matter with utmost urgency and inform the Ministry of Home Affairs and Prime Minister Office in Bangladesh to act accordingly and punish the culprits. I request your intervention and escalate the matter with Bangladesh Government so that the atrocities don’t take the form of 1971 genocide of Hindus in Bangladesh. Before I conclude, I would like to offer my best wishes of Sharadiya Durga Pujo 2021 to you as a matter of courtesy even though this year’s Durga Puja was not at all of festivity rather was taken over by melancholy and grief. আমি শ্রীরামপুরের মেয়ে। কবু দা কে চিনি বহু বছর ধরে। মুখার্জী ক্যাটারার আমার বিয়েতে ও রান্না করেছিলেন। (( রাধা বল্লভ মন্দিরের কাছে ওনার বাড়ী। মানিকতলায়)) আমি এই দেওয়ালী র আগেই যাবো খেতে। কিন্তু আপনাদের জন্য স্পেশাল সব করেছে বিজ্ঞাপন প্রচার হবে। আমরাও যখন যাবো তখন এরকম ফিস ফ্রাই বিরিয়ানি মালাইকাবাব গার্লিক নান পাবো ত??

After watching KZbin videos, I have visited this restaurant. I had tasted their Fish Fry and Chicken Biryani. One thing which I noticed the quantity of Biryani plated and shown in youtube videos are much more than actually served to normal customer. Also size of Fish Fry served is smaller than shown in KZbin. Also they charge Rs. 30/- for a litre of Kinley mineral water whereas the actual MRP is Rs. 20/-. However ambience of the restaurant and taste of the food is good, though price is one a higher side
