hi can I ask why the amine monomer is put in water and the acid monomer is put in cyclohexane?

Hi Fadhilah, water and cyclohexane were chosen as solvents because they are immiscible. The cyclohexane sits above the water without mixing, forming an interface at which the polymerization of Nylon will take place. Other organic solvents can also be used to dissolve the acid. Hope that helps!

Ooo i see but can amine put in cyclohexane meanwhile acid monomer put in water to produce nylon?

@@fadhilahjafar9290 The acid monomer is not very soluble in water, so it basically needs to be dissolved in an organic solvent (like cyclohexane).
