With electric motors, your knee problems will be absolutely minimized if not completely eliminated. The HP Scorpion PLUS is the best model now that great electric motors are on the scene. The two wheels in front are a bit wider AND the seat is HIGHER and more forward leaning as well. Especially useful for seniors getting in and out of them. AND traffic can see you much easier!

You definitely want a light and simple trike if you have to lift it up every time. So Catrike seems logical. There are a couple of e-assist kits that you put on the rear tire. I wonder if there's something you can easily take on-off? In theory boom with Bafang or Tongsheng is not too much work to unplug either. The single chainring is quite enough with e-assist. Don't really use granny gears. So there won't be a front derailleur cable.

TRIOT trikes are fantastic. Their one model has a belt drive and simplifies everything as you have described. Electric motors simplify everything for Matt AND take a huge load off his knees as well!

the Catrike 559 is the folding version of the Catrike Expedition.. They both have 26" rear and 20" front with disc brakes.. One thing to be aware of with direct steer, when you are coming down an decline, and it is on a curve, they tend to shimmy.. it makes you feel unstable (like your going to loose control and roll the trike) especially if you hit rough pavement or pot hole.. I prefer the under seat steering..

The ICE are great.. one drawback that most people do not realize right away, the seat doesn't breath well, so you will sweat more and feel hot quicker on warm days.. If i went ICE, i would ask for a mesh seat.. All in all the ICE is the best of these choices..

He should while he has a chance. The Expedition with an electric motor is the bomb. It FOLDS too. Utah Trikes has a video where they assembled two different EXPEDITIONS with all the bells and whistles and test rode them both. One had TWO battery banks, but the second one kept it from being able to be folded. That was OK with the client.

As long as you have a 26" rear wheel, you can ride your trike indoors on a SportCrafters double roller assembly when it is too dark outside or there is foul weather. Some seniors might want to ride indoors most of the time anyway. Especially if they have to stay close to a toilet. A great solution-oriented convenience. Ahhhh!

The trike dealer on this video was an incredible clever and impressing man, with the indoor testride, a realy nice place. But I'm sorry that I don't like that the owner or leader of a company is talking of me, and not we, if he is working together with any employers, his wife or others. Then it's always named WE in a company. Good luck. Best Regards Arne G from Norway

The owner is making the perfect move by getting a large assortment of 120 Terra Trikes in March. They are easier to afford AND a number of models ride higher for seniors. The higher riding posture combined with electric motors will sell very well to seniors. And they can upgrade after about a year or so of riding.

It's a good start that Mr. Jayoe has stopped making chinese propaganda video's, it seems that either the CCP & CGTN has stopped paying him as his content is not working for them or Jayoe grew a consciences and is now no longer interested in CCP money (which i highly doubt). But the no. of views have fallen and the channel is not generating views as it used to. Only time will tell if he runs out of money and goes back to China.

That 'real men' remark is patently absurd. This is an issue of practicality and solutions. Not one of manhood. Most of your body weight is in your torso. World-class bicycle riders are always complaining about scrotum issues despite being appreciably less than 160 lbs. in weight. Besides, seniors have balance and bone fragility issues which are both perfectly solved by trike or quad riding.
