Hats off to you good sir.You had some balls to scale the inside of the cave without a safety rope.It would be so interesting to go back in time to see what was actually hidden there in terms of contraband.My guess would have been casks of rum and other spirits rather than gold and silver but who knows?I wonder if the locals lured ships onto the rocks as happened in many places.
@stare67114 жыл бұрын
yes you’re probably right about the rum and spirits as they would have been expensive in those days and worth the risk of smuggling them into the country:) Thanks for watching

Happy Christmas & a happy New Year to you & your family Stare & glad to see your back. What a great video, lovely views & such a great place to explore.........the Smugglers cave. I noticed on the walls of the cave some really old dates, 1952 or something. I'm sure that place saw some amazing things in it's history. I think you were very brave to climb up to the upper level but I think the plank was a bit to much & looked very unsafe. I love your explores Stare & think your an amazing guy. Thank you so, so much for this Darren. The flowers and gorse on the way up and even the sea weed -- beautiful! The view from the top was stunning. And then the smugglers hideout itself. Absolutely amazing to think of the history of that place! Glad you did not walk that slippery plank. Looked like you did this explore on a beautiful summer or fall day there in Wales... and I am watching from my cozy little apartment in Vermont, USA where it is about -3 C at the moment (outside that is, thankfully!) I am curious why all the loose stones on the way up. Just by falling off the cliff face naturally or are they 'harvested' for building materials? Thanks again for this video (and Tony too). Hope you are well. Happy new year!

Hey Chrissy good to hear from you again. Im still in a really strict lockdown since before Christmas, in fact all of the U.K. is. I’m not allowed to travel more than 5 miles from my house or I could get fined, Shops are all shut, hairdressers shut, restaurants shut, schools shut. . . . .i could go on😞 hopefully by the end of March we could be out of it and I can once again make some nice videos for you😀 Have you had your vaccine yet there in Florida?
@Chrisssy21123 жыл бұрын
No, I haven’t received the vaccine, I did however have the test done which I think it’s cruel punishment, lol, because they stuck a huge q-tip far up my nose, worst feeling in the world as it felt like water was up my nose like when you’re in a swimming pool, lol. “If you can see the spikes on these things-they hurt”. They really hurt”…..and then you poke one, on purpose! 😂 What is it that creates those gorgeous colors?! I’ve never seen anything like that outside of a kaleidoscope! It’s a damn shame people who came before you couldn’t be satisfied taking selfies of themselves!! Their parents would be so disappointed in them, marring the wild beauty of this place! 😡 This was an amazing explore, my friend. Thank you so much for dragging me out of my apt to go with! (One small criticism though…PLEASE think carefully before you go nuts and stampede into the unknown, yes? You took your life (and unbroken bones) into your hands for this explore! He who is cautious and walks slowly avoids becoming one of the “hey! Come on! I hear there’s a guy in here who had a KZbin channel…he was exploring and got stuck between the rock and the hard place!” Caution in all things…..GREAT job here! ❤
