@authorgreene3 жыл бұрын
@@bobbybillionXRP Well, I didn't know Stew before this clip (never heard of the show which - read on - is not surprising). KZbin likely recommended this video because I'm REALLY into books and just about everything recommended to me is book and writing related. So, yeah, totally expected rare books to be salvaged from a private library.

The Portico Library is a city based Library in Manchester founded in 1806 by 400 founding members. Built with the wealth derived from the industrial revolution, if I ever visit Manchester in the UK I'll go.

So they can have a moment or a few moments of living, whatever they decide to do with what becomes their money when it is a gift. To not give because you want to control what's done with it, is uncharitable. Whose kids don't buy booze and more with their money, or money given them or borrowed? Why begrudge someone in true poverty and suffering any little thing that might give something they feel is relief?
@paulwinstanley4595 Жыл бұрын
perhaps he already gives to charity, not everyone need's to publicise their charitable work, and suspect his not as weak minded as the people who would go out and make a video giving money away because others have formed an opinion without facts.

@Mark D buying from a private library
@emmamarigliano14823 жыл бұрын
@Mark D there's no 'supposing' that it's a library. It was 'private' for most of its 200+ years and the Librarian (that woman) ensured that it opened out to the public more and more until, today, it's one of the goto places of Manchester - for those who love to be among books, art, buildings and just somewhere that feels.... good.
