Holy crap... I thought the entire interior would be stripped naked, but so many things are still, untouched from the last time I got to visit several years ago. So surreal. How old was this footage by the time you uploaded it?

It's so wild how much things change. I worked my first few jobs here, my Mom worked at the JC Penney when she was pregnant with me. As a kindergartener my favorite restaurant was the Ground Round. Favorite memories are when my friends and I would be set loose on Friday nights at the mall - the most freedom we had as middle schoolers. Lots of memories of movies, great coworkers, and back-to-school shopping.

I’m honestly surprised you didn’t actually bump into any squatters. I used to love going there so much! It’s crazy how much still is still actually there.

Haha. I was thinking the same thing. I’ve noticed in a lot of YT videos people who aren’t familiar with the area seem to pronounce it that way.

It’s a damn shame, it looked like it was such a nice mall back in the day and pretty damn big if I might add too.

Great video brought me back to my childhood mall 🥹 used to go here every weeked almost, super fun memories in the arcade and food court after shopping. Good movie theatre too its a shame they closed. Covid was the nail that sealed the coffin honestly

@@jaredlefaver9484 it was done before rona’ unfortunately, the mall had shut down the rest of food court 2019 and put stupid walls up built by food court tables to keep the theatre patrons out of mall. & Target walled off the interior mall entrance, Armand was forced to close his restaurant ( ground rounds vol spot) and security didn’t get paid, stopped coming. Lots can be blamed on a virus, but not this mall, mismanagement and stupid high rents. I was so sad when they ripped all the trees out!!!!!!!

Interesting. I closed that Spencer's before the mall closed entirely and that company left tons behind. Even the sound system in the ceiling and the metal slats on the wall. Someone, whether it was the owner of the property or random people have seemingly stripped the stores since then.

whats interesting to me , is that in Sears, they had plastic panels to cover the walls, so instead of painting, if they want or need to change the wall color, just change out the panels, Quite an Idea! 😀

I worked for NCR, and I helped install the retail systems in many of the stores before it opened. Pyramid company built this mall without having any permits. Once it was completely built the town had no options but to give them the permits. The entrance was over a train track, and it wasn't legal, so they put up a large sign to warn people to watch for the trains, no lights or gates! When they finally got the permits, they opened the store at JCPenney's, and all the merchandise was already on the racks ready to go. General Electric closed their huge factory, and the town people all lost their jobs. I just wish the trespassers would clean up their language so normal people can watch the video.

Seeing the TIW sign still there hurts so bad man. Those are my buddies. It was such a kick in the nuts to lose that spot. This whole video just hurts. I grew up right at the other end of the mall road. My first job was here. So many first life experiences.
