So Heres another opportunity to house the homeless.....Just remove all the bars, and security features of the building, and make it more "home-like", let the homeless live there.

Doesn’t address the mental health and substance abuse problems that plague the homeless. Just concentrates a large number of them in a small area.

@@grantottaviano7445 I understand that, but the main problem is that we have agencies and people who are paid large salaries that are supposed to help people with those deeper issues....everyone knows that homelessness is not the main issue, that mental illness, drug/alcohol addiction and other things play a role....but we have people who DO NOT want these issues to get solved because THEY WILL LOSE THEIR JOBS. And so the homeless "problem" get "managed" instead of "solved". And as long as we live in a capitalist society, where MONEY is the main concentration and focus, no one is going to fix the main issues with not just homelessness, but other issues we have too. The other issue is that Americans do not look out for each other. Ive been to Europe a half a dozen times and there is no homeless issue there. Its because they are taken care of, not only by the gov., but by society in general. People watch out for each other. Its a collective state of mind. The state of mind of most Americans is ME, ME and ME.
