"Its also land of the Tswana people" while showing Mbukushu people. The documentary template of Botswana to westerner has never changed over the years. 1. Parachute into northern Botswana. 2. Show lanscapes, wildlife 3. Show minority natives (Bushmen/San, Mbukushu, Yei) 4. that's the whole picture of Botswana. The tswana people people who reside mostly in the south and represent 90% of the population never even make it to the film

Back in the days when water was abundant there used to be rice plantations, though I am not sure where in the North West region. I don't here of them nowadays.

Correction,Botswana education is free until tertiary.......and the traditional beer made of wild berries is called "khadi" not chibuku.....

C'est "Tintin au Congo" à chaque fois que je vois l'Afrique. Avant d'être contacté par des occidentaux ou peut être des musulmans, ces gens faisaient sncore des peintures rupestres et vivaient exactement comme ils vivaient il y à 20.000 ans aux début de l'humanité. Aujourd'hui ils ne construisent toujours pas de ponts. Ils n'entreprennent oas grand chose, les vaches seuls richesses des éleveurs sont encore abandonnées à elles même et visiblement peut soignées. Les gens sont encore la proie de la faune sauvage quand ils vont cueillir des roseaux... Et à la capitale, fondée par des blancs, riche grâce à des diamants découverts par les blancs, tout le monde joue à l'occidental. Mais le pays est absolument pas prêt pour ça. Hormis quelques vaches qui broutent l'herbe sauvage ils n'y à rien ! Si la mine de diamants venait à s'épuiser, ou si le cours mondial chute, ce sera la famine du jour au lendemain dans ce pays qui probablement importe la majeure partie de son alimentation. C'est étonnant ces pays qui hier encore étaient à l'aube de l'humanité. Et qui aujourd'hui jouent à la modernité, dans une catastrophe annoncé d'avance.
