That tunnel was so cool - love stuff like that feels so mysterious. I wonder what that little arch-shaped opening was used for? Maybe back in the day for shovels etc to keep the track clear. The waterfall was beautiful - love the sound of the water and the greenish colour of the water and sitting on flat rocks like that are so restful with the spray from the falls on yer face. The secret to staying young is not to go down the "I'm old" path as it leads nowhere good and hopefully your injuries completely heal soon.Oh my gosh that furnace was so neato! and I was sitting here hoping that you would go inside so that I could see inside and when you took the pic looking up towards the sky it reminded me so much of the view from the bottom of the well in the movie "The Ring" if you are familiar with that.Nature was crowded on my little jaunt today also but still nice. Glad you took the time to recharge. Work is such a double-edged sword. You need it to do the things you want to do yet it utilizes so much quality time. Nice to see both of your fuzzy faces and yes I wrote these comments as I watched the video.:^D

It's good to take short trips and get a feel for things you should take when you are ready to go. Then you have to make sure they will fit in the van and get broken or injure you or Bella. Perfect vehicle for what your wanting to do. I'd consider one of the Heavy Duty front brush guards that bolt to the frame then adapt my e-bike cradles as needed and have it in front.

Wonderful video Dave. Big projects are very daunting. Im in the middle of decluttering my bedroom, you don't know where to start, the best plan of attack. The falls tunnel and furnace looks like a stunning area. The waterhole looks so refreshing. It does look humid there. I can't believe how blue your water is. Get Bella a side car to attach to your ebike.

You can tell that you have been having fun building out your campervan and you & Bella will probably have many happy adventurers with the campervan. I think you are the kind of person who needs to tinker with projects because you seemed a tiny bit stew crazy when you started checking out the rv junk yards and other salvage yards and you kinda lit up talking about redoing a vehicle .you will figure out how to organize the campervan for working and atleast you have lots of room under your bed for tools and items for work. Stay safe and God bless. P.S. you could get a sealed dog food container to keep in the van and a set of dog dishes just for the van that way 1 less thing to worry about packing id even consider keeping a few sets of extra clothes in the van and a bucket or tote of shelf stable foods that way you could just hope in and go whenever

Thank you for showing us places where we would never get to see. Suggestion that you start carrying a backpack. Items: l.e.d. light, compass, water, dish for Bella for drinking, nutrition snacks. Small first-aid kit. Make this an always carry, even on day trips. I live near Harrisburg in Mechanicsburg, Pa..

I've been in the old Salina tunnel and it's curved and the dark eats light. Those furnace remains are all through West PA mountains. Definitely would be nice to visit or stealth camp along the Allegheny on kayak or bike.

Bella looks so excited to be traveling again. What beautiful country this is. You are braver than me. I would not want to walk where I can’t see snakes etc. I am chicken. LOL. Oh my goodness those falls are fabulous. Bella is very good following your directions. Get CBD double strength cream for your knee. Really helps but not cheap. A small bottle goes a long way though. It takes away pain quick.

This brought back some memories from times I've been up in that area. Doesn't look like much has changed except some more graffiti and the tunnel is looking a little worse. And Emlenton is a nice little town. I've canoed from the kinzua dam down to Emlenton before. Nice canoe trip with campsites on the islands. Planning on Suzy and I taking a little shorter canoe trip up that way this year.

Dave, I suggest if you leave Bella in the Van that you make it so that no one can see her in there or she may be stolen. In an RV it is easier because people do not know if someone is in the back part of the RV which makes it safer for a dog inside if someone sees them but not so in a Vehicle. Also, if you come to Ca there is a law that anyone can break your window and "rescue" a dog left inside. The law is good and meant for those who leave dogs in hot vehicles but also dog theft is rampant in Ca. Be careful, be safe.
