Ah, I love the Great Ridge. Been up there a few times. I walked up the exact path to Hollins Cross as you did. There's a fun channel called Boaty's World and the guy does drives around the Peaks. He's just outside of Chesterfield.

Watched start to finish. Great hike. I really loved it. As for what to change, I think you have it pretty much nailed down. I wouldn't change a thing. We all have our own slant and our own personalities. I'm going to have to start to take a rubbish bag out with me. Who do these people think they are? I lived the history, the anecdotes, and the pictures. I hike Alport Moor from Snake Pass yesterday, previously done it from Fairholmes. In the car heading towards Ladybower, there were piles and piles of rubbish. There had obviously been an organised litter picking. But what makes these people think that they love nature when they just litter like that? As for the dog shit bags, it you are just going to throw it on the ground, then why pick it up at all? Madness. But I'm with you, I prefer the off the beaten track away from the day trippers. (He says, being a day tripper himself), but you know what I mean. I did the Crowden Horseshoe last week. I was there at 9am and the only person in the car park. I hiked anticlockwise and never saw a soul until Soldier's Lump I passed four people all day. But I did have a Lancaster fly over, which was epic. Anyway, rambling, great channel, don't change a thing. Thanks for sharing.

@thepeakdistrictviking The extended loop is 11.88 miles, but if you up/down at Laddow Rocks, it is shorter.
