Exploring an Abandoned Bank in East St. Louis, Illinois

Today we are exploring an abandoned bank in East St. Louis, Illinois that opened in 1920 and stopped printing money in 1934. The bank has beautiful architecture and lots of graffiti. Sadly, the vault doors and contents were removed. It appears to have had 2 above ground vaults. Now just concrete rooms.

Fun fact: That thing with the tray at 2:30 is called a 'Dumbwaiter'. Back in the olden days it was used to bring food to different floors in buildings, I imagine they used that to move paperwork or other things to different floors easier instead of going down stairs or upstairs.

Vaults were often in the basement. Was just through E. STL last week, what a mess, used to be good.
