Off the beaten path there's a mansion miles in the woods away from society. The former occupants of the mansion seem to have abandoned the home in 1999 although most of the contents inside are mostly 1970s Era based. The reason for the property to be left behind is still unknown, we enter with respect as we document what is left inside this still amazing mansion that has stood the test of time. What we do discover is an old property filled with the former families belongings and memories trapped inside this beautiful home. If you enjoy the exploration, please leave a thumbs up on the video, and consider subscribing for more historical and exploration walk-throughs.
thanks for watching!

As already noted by others the car is a Ford T bird. Strictly a VHF antenna in the attic, not UHF or satellite dish. It was common to put TV antennas in the attic. I still have one VHF & UHF in my house attic for picking up local channels, it works great.

I think the decor is actually 1960’s a real time capsule. The clown furniture was totally creepy. Feels like this house is probably haunted. With some love and T.L.C this house restored would be beautiful. The wood work detail is so unique. I can imagine this house in it’s original state, a few hundred years ago, filled with antiques and beautiful things it must have been owned by a very affluent family. Strange that it’s abandoned, it would be interesting to know about the last residence and history of the house.

This house is absolutely amazing. It never ceases to amaze me with what and why. How could they just get up and walk away and leave so much behind??? The bedroom with the pink cover on the bed and the beautiful photo on the wall of the lady was amazing. Thank you this is incredible. It is sad to see that it has been vandalised however.

For a while, that mansion had a lot of life in it. Lots of love, happiness, sorrow, some spats of anger here and there, but it was alive with a family. Great find and thank you very much for your work. I get to "travel" and have these adventures from the comfort and safety of my own home :)

I love this, but the old photos kill me to just be left to decay 😭. If you ever feel like saving the photos from your explorations, I do genealogy and would love to help you find the owners or family of those in the pictures. I found yearbooks in an attic in a house I lived in and tracked down the owners and was able to send them to California (from NY) once I found the daughters of the late father whose yearbooks they were.

This explore was amazing. I have a deep appreciation for expert craftsmanship with woodworking. Every doorway, window, window seal, staircase, beds, even many walls and floors clearly show that these people had the same deep appreciation for such things. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could know the people to credit for all of this fine workmanship. The books were nice too, Blacks Law Dictionary from years gone by.

One explanation for homes like this being abandoned is: In many states when an elder goes into a nursing home and gets qualified for medicaid coverage, their homestead is becomes part of the Medicaid Recovery payment or Estate Recovery. Once the homeowner and spouse pass away, the homestead now belongs to the state. Most of the time the state just allows these homes to rot to the ground and then will sell the property. To fix them up back to livable status would actually cost the state more.

It always amazes me how full homes and property are just abandoned to decay and that there are no close or distant family members to leave it to, these estates can be worth a lot of money, but now like in this case the house is beyond repair, what a shame very, very sad that this was once a home full of happiness and fun and laughter as well I am sure tears, holidays that where celebrated family gatherings great meals prepared in that kitchen, you did a great job capturing this once great home and your eloquent way of narration of your filming gives much respect to this poor old home, one though has to wonder what happened to her residents ,

This is definitely one I have not seen explored! The woodworking was incredible albeit overpoweringly dark and I can only imagine how much it would be on a dreary rainy day during the winter. But a labor of love for sure. The stark contrast of cleanliness of rooms to trashed natural decay was striking! And the child’s room to me was very odd formal and no toys almost like no child really inhabited the room. Ooh Those clown chairs were not helping the cause either they will give me nightmares waking up next to it!! 🤡🤡

I so, so appreciate how much you appreciate the items and antiques you come across. Because of what people like you do, I have the opportunity to see these things before time takes them. As ads from Temu play in the breaks, what you said about cheap plastic and fast delivery just feels sadly true of our modern world. The rose carvings were probably my favourite thing in this home. As I sit here, watching, pausing, rewinding, playing again, trying to get the layout of these houses down... What are the chances you might start saying 'no rooms to my left on the third floor. First room to the right off the staircase is... a bedroom...' That would really help my desire to 'Sim' each and every one of these glorious houses.

Great explore, thanks! It was an amazing house back in the days, that's for sure. I wonder what kind of wood that paneling is? Oak? For the amount of decay in some areas, the house seemed mostly solid, like the stairs. I guess it was renovated or modernized in some areas, for example the kitchen design was non-descript. But in a traditional home like that, servants probably did the cooking and those areas were functional rather than attractive. I noticed the plain white staircase that went to the second floor, that was probably for servants too. Weird the shared closets for the bedrooms, and the person in the second bedroom would need to walk through the first bedroom to go somewhere.

Cough medicine you found may have been from a squatter? Looks like it was probably abandoned sometime in the early to mid 80s. Most of the clothing looks 1970s and the pics looked to be late 60s early 70s. That house was probably already getting to be rundown while the owners still lived there. Very interesting though. Wish we knew the whole story.

Seems odd they'd have a 9th gen ford thunderbird there that's an early model between the years of 1983 and 1986 i'd imagine it wasn't a new car when it was left there so that'd possibly put the house abandoned sometime mid 90's. The radio in the kitchen looks to be a generic one from early 2000's was this maybe some ones grandparents house and they had passed on with the house being left and forgotten about

Old houses are just old homes. The things left in the home give you a look into a small part of their lives. The nice staircase showed they liked a bit of show with the beautiful wood work. The piano room was a lounging room to gather , talk, read and someone play piano and listen. The little carvings was to give it some style, that they had some comfort in life to be able to have those little carvings. They wanted a bit of prestige of their home. Kitchen wouldn’t of been as fancy especially if the had maids. Second living room would be sit down and watch some tv, not so much wanting to visit. The rooms , bathrooms would be clean and feel one could have a long bath in. Bedrooms are good size so it give a room to relax in and have your own space, a bedroom for one’s enjoyment. You can almost feel the life that was in the house. 🌹 One thing can’t believe is people left there pictures and why not give clothes away , not let them set to rot for years.
