The 'flying B' looks like the radiator cap fitting of a Bentley.

Very beautiful, it would be wonderful if someone could restore that to a single family home.
@stare67114 жыл бұрын
Hi Julie, yes that would be great to see it restored and lived in once again as its a beautiful building, the only problem is the train track right outside, its still in use, infact a train went past when we were there and it was really noisey. I guess you could live there if you liked listening to loud music so you couldnt hear the trains:)

Someone had clearly been living there upto around 2015... even if only as squatters... What a shame... yes it would make a lovely home... spacious too.

Great explore, awesome house. The clock was not a station clock, nowhere near old enough for a genuine one.

Such a shame :( its such a gorgeous building! And clearly well-built they don't build them like they used to I know you probably don't want to ruin it but can you give me an idea where you're at? I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say Northern England
@stare67114 жыл бұрын
Yes it really is a beautiful building isn't it, can't remember exactly where this place was but your in the right kinda area, just north of Birmingham if I remember right. Thanks for watching

@@stare6711 I love that kind of stuff! It seems in Europe and the UK. People aren't as destructive so abandoned buildings are a lot easier to access. I live in Seattle so there's really nothing out here that older than the late 1800s

I wonder why the people have left some quite nice furniture behind? Seems they had to move & didnt have time to move every thing, or didnt want everything, or didn't have space for everything? These sort of places puzzle me. Looked like young peoples things. Maybe they were squatting the derelict building & forced to leave? Shame its been left to go crumbly like that.
@sarahstrong71744 жыл бұрын
I think those 'B's are off old Bentley cars.

What was the reason for abandoning it? With things still in drawers and clothes hanging,they must've left in a big hurry
@stare67113 жыл бұрын
Yes I’d love to know why they left so quickly like that, its a really nice looking building too. Maybe they just couldn’t stand the constant noise of the trains going past but then why would you leave all your stuff in the drawers like that . . . . . .? Thanks for watching

What a waste, that old station would make a lovely classical residence, just look at the quality of the stone lintels around the doors and windows, but dear oh dear whoever lived there had dreadful taste in colour, all black, reds and others. I have always wanted to live in a railway station or my first choice would be a converted WW2 airfield control tower.
