Join me as we explore the abandoned Rhode Island Reformatory for Men, a historic prison that opened in 1932 and operated in various capacities until its closure in 2011. Originally designed to house younger offenders, the Reformatory later became a medium-security facility before its final shutdown. After years of vacancy and a failed proposal for a Costco, the prison is now being demolished, with uncertain future development plans. In this video, we take one last look at the site before its transformation. I almost let it slip by myself. I was only reminded of it last year when the Costco thing was going on, so I started getting footage and kept following it.
