Bloody hell that place was seriously gone!! Unbelievable how Huge it was but nothing to show from the outside anymore. Kind of strange, some places you can easily imagine the people who lived there, but it was too far gone to see anything of the people or their character and personality 😕

That Rover 75 was actually registered 1999 under the old registration system (rather than 08) and MOT/Tax expired 2013, so been standing there for around nine years. That 2.5 litre engine would probably still start with some persuasion.

Agree with the other comments, 2012 motd car outside, energy saving bulbs, a newish looking smoke alarm, and the shotgun cartridges are only partly rusted. I would think it was still being used, even if only partly, until about 10 or 12 years ago when something happened. Perhaps a catastrophic failure in the structure that meant it was too dangerous to approach never mind enter. Great explore, absolutely fascinating, wish I could get a blown up view of the book you held up. Many thanks as always.

At 25:19 in the first large bedroom you go in upstairs, there is an copper urn (with the lid off) on the mantle piece with cremains in... you can see the thick plastic bag that the cremains are placed in before they put them into the urns Also looks like there is a partial name label on the left hand side of it, shame it's been left behind there 😢 What a beautiful property this must have been in its heyday with the pool and the beautiful fireplaces... another exceptionally great explore, well done!

The stamps were co-op dividend stamps, they were given to customers with their change. The idea was you stuck them in a co-op book and redeemed them for goods when the book/books were full. Did anyone else notice the urn on the mantelpiece? If it had someone's ashes in it Colin you were probably being watched! Someone liked their guns too, surprised you didn't pick up the AK 3006 hand book. Great video again, thank you.. 👍
@sullivanrachael2 жыл бұрын
The AK 3006 is a Crane not a gun! Take a closer look at the brochure cover. The big green safe isn’t typical of gun safes and the military crates sat outside aren’t small arms ammunition types as far as I could tell. The owner could have bought the empty crates from a milsurp supplier simply as storage boxes
@johnlong32142 жыл бұрын
@@sullivanrachael The "AK 3006 is indeed a crane, my mistake, however I wasn't far out as the AK 30 06 was a rifle, (there may still be some out there) put that thought with the live ammunition and thats what got me to thinking someone liked their guns. The big green safe isn’t typical of gun safes, thats why I didn't mention it, and the military crates sat outside aren’t small arms ammunition types, they would probably only hold 2 much larger shells, thats why I didn't mention those either.
