I think it would be nice if you could also pay attention to the experimental galleries and artists. Not just the chosen ones of the art elite. This is not a criticism, I always find your videos very interesting. But there is also another side to art.

@@MaryLynn_Buchanan I'm looking forward to that. It will make your KZbin channel even better. I am an artist and art collector myself. I have covered my entire house with art. I mainly look at non-famous, often young artists and buy directly from their studio. I buy what I like. Not because I see money in it. I'm already too old for that.

Dear Mary Lynn, Thank you so much for the video! ❤❤❤I really enjoyed it. The paintings by Sylvia Snowden particularly caught my attention. The color palette is absolutely stunning - so rich and vibrant, and the contrasting colors are just perfect. Carmen Neely's paintings are also amazing! They are so full of energy and strength. It was a true pleasure to see these artworks. Thanks again for sharing!😘

You were right about the Mona Lisa being one of the best in the Warhol exhibition. Does anybody actually like the Mona Lisa? I certainly don't but Warhol made it look fresh and even vaguely exciting! Nothing else really caught my attention but I thought the parquet flooring in some of the galleries was beautiful.

What I liked most in this art review was the artistic, sculpturally highlighted lines of the woman's body. P.s.: compare this 10:04 painting with Noji Mikiko's or Kazutoshi Oshimoto's giant graphic-paintings works.

As always, I enjoyed all the exhibits. What was the name of the Warhol that featured a robotic image over painted in red & blue with the yellow stripe? It seemed both serious and playful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & enthusiasm.

Merci beaucoup. To me Johnson’s statement about the works… although impactful… doesn’t really align with the pieces. The ‘fish form’ pieces were a little closer… Whereas Snowdens statement and result were much closer … and what you narrate about the paintings made sense. Thank you for the consideration in your commentary… and insights to the artworld. Like with the significance of work and appropriation. The Warhol Mona Lisa and Venus… would be favorites there…

I personally don't think Warhol needed to riff on historical art imagery to cement his place in art history. Had he done nothing else than his work in the early/ mid 60s he would have still been regarded as a very major player in the art world in the 2nd half of the 20th century. Even the few pieces you showed in the vid shows his mastery of line, color, composition and conceptual art. Compare the vibe in his work to the other more decorative artists in this vid and you see the uncommon genius of Warhol vs the lightweight doodlers and daubers.
