This is Part 3 of our 6 part series of things to do in Hokkaido, Japan. We explore some of the best things to do in Asahikawa, also the coldest city in Japan as it can drop to as low as -41 degrees! We are currently on our Hokkaido road trip travelling from Sapporo to Asahikawa and further up North. It is Winter in Asahikawa and so the snow is absolute magic! We share with you our day tasting ramen, exploring the Asahikawa snow festival and ice sculptures, and even horse riding through the snow.

Went to Clarke Horse Garden today after following you guys and seeing your recommendations. Oh my goodness...absolutely amazing experience. Never ridden a horse before so it wasn't too bad for a 50 something solo female traveller. 🐎🇯🇵❤️

The queue goes down pretty quick tbh. Luckily it doesn’t take the average person very long to smash back a ramen, especially as most are on their lunch break! 😄. We arrived just after 1pm and didn’t wait very long. Definitely worth it!
