I think you’re going to really enjoy exploring Asia. When I was living in Japan and on my way to Thailand for a trip, they said “Thailand is the Mexico of Asia,” which seems like an apt observation. Good place to start! Have fun you guys, and thanks for taking us along.

Hi guys, my wife, Nan, is Thai and I have been to Thailand several times. We can see you guys are really enjoying the food there, but having a tough time moving around. May we suggest you spend more time in the Bangkok Chinatown. There is lots of great street food there and it is easy to move around even with the language gap. We have been watching your videos in Mexico and love them. Thanks to your videos we visited Puerto Vallarta last year and loved it. We love watching you guys in Thailand. We also recommend you visit Chiang Mai. It is a smaller city with great food. And cheaper. Enjoy your trip to Thailand.

Yep, Hilary!! I’d be eating my soup while holding my feet up off the ground! I remember walking past one restaurant very early one morning that, the night before, we saw people eating at. In the early morning hours we saw the tables, floors and cooking surfaces covered in rats. To say the least, we didn’t eat at that restaurant. Hahaha!

Hillary nailed it in the closing. That's why I'm in Mexico for 4 months. Some days you acclimate and others you seek the rare memorable moment. On my most recent adventure, I spent a day on a rancho in Yucatan with Brahma and Simmental cattle. They cut a pair out and took them to the sale barn. As a Texas cowboy, it was amazing how big cows can get while living in the middle of the jungle.

Just to educate you. In cities with warm and/or tropical climates, you will find lots of soups and/or spicy foods. The spicyness or the heat actually makes you sweat which in turn cools you down. If you notice most of those soups are water based, not the thick, hearty soups that westerners associate with sipping on cold evening.

Have you guys tried using the camera feature on the Google Translator app? Once you set the language on the app, you just press the camera button on the app and it will take a photo of the words in Thai and translate it onto the mobile phone screen in English. This way, you don't need to read Thai to undersand the signs.

Excellent jumpers: Rats can jump vertically 36 inches and horizontally 48 inches. Dropping from a height of 50 feet doesn't kill or seriously injure rats. Squeezing through small openings: Rats have flexible skulls and can fit through openings a half-inch in diameter.😉 Lifting your feet up most likely won't work. Loved this video.

I live about twenty minutes from Mexico, RGV part of the Texas Valley. *nearly impossible to compare, but a natural human tendency to attempt it.
