The way the furniture was lined up, and the way the boxes where laid out looks as if an auction was going to be held there.

Wow! I had no idea that the place had gone under. And literally too! It was a hugely popular place 10/20 years ago. They held a lot of coldwater/pond fish that you don't normally get to see in a "shop". We (and a lot of other people) used to go there just to get some lunch and look at the fish. It is right on edge of Fishlake Meadows, a large flood plain on the Test. Didn't or couldn't (planning laws) build good flood protection I guess. It was in an "out of the way" place, making it hard for "passing trade" I suppose. You found some really odd, old stuff there too. Makes me wonder if something "fishy" was going on behind the scenes.🤔 A shame. Great vid guys. Thank you.

i think so many families actually go to fish shops as its free and basicly the same as going to a sea life centre that would cost the family 50 quid to look at the same fish they have here lol not sure that fire was legit though i would like to find out cheers for watching 💛

Wonder if there is carp in the pond 🤔

@@Danny84. There were fish there. How many have been stolen? How many have escaped in unmanaged floods? And what has "moved in" from the river/flood plain? 🤔
@Danny84. Жыл бұрын
@anyonefortoast6738 yeah expect if they had some big carp in there or even koi they'd be gone. Carp go for big money. Shame really looked a nice place
@AnyoneForToast Жыл бұрын
@@Danny84. It was a "go to" venue for bored/skint people on days when you didn't actually go fishing. They had a vast amount of coldwater fish. I guess most were removed when the business went under, but there must surely be one or two hanging around still... And some nature moving in from the river.👍

Hey man how's it going? Hope all's well! Its good to see you guys back on! Everyone needs to take a little break once in a while and you don't need a reason! Looks like it was a pretty cool place at one time. When the day comes they will probably mow the whole place down and everything in it as well. Its a shame though because it looks like there's tons of stuff in there that could be cleaned up a bit and salvaged. I'm sure there's plenty of people that could use some of that furniture and chairs and what ever else is in there. Cheers guys

Wow, so many things in that place that people could have used in their lives. And plus that aquarium place looks like it was a very well made place for the people to explore and see. Just imagine all the types of fish you would have been able to look at in that aquarium. Must have been awesome. Obviously the flood had to tear that place down for some reason, that reason I don't know why, but as you know there are always reasons for these types of apocalyptic recks from the earth. And it's true when you say that the marine looks a bit haunted, it's like a ghost could easily be walking around there at that place. And truly, to be walking around those bushes, you have to be careful, and do your best not to get pocked by any thorns, lol. But truly, that aquarium really is a lovely place, it might not look so lovely anymore but I can assure you that before it did look lovely and fun to explore 👍 thanks for this video you guys, it was cool to see something new from the earth life of nature ♥️

At the 8 minute mark, that's an electronic knitting machine. My mum had one years ago. Reading the comments, it is very suspicious that it's been on fire so many times. Insurance job certainly springs to my mind

What a copious collection of crap!. Guessing there wasn't much money in selling aquatics alone, so they were diversifying into selling second hand furniture and goods - perhaps from house clearances maybe? (which would explain the personal belongings still present). I saw this place covered a few months back by another explorer filmed before the fire damage, and the power was still on, so giving the benefit of the doubt, the fire may have been caused by an Electrical fault, especially if it gets flooded. The action figure with the dodgy leg I think is supposed to be Bruce Lee.
