Exploring Beautiful Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park & Historic Lighthouse

On our previous trip to Florida, we stumbled on Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, only a 15-minute drive from downtown Miami. Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is a wonderful park with sandy beaches, fun trails, and a beautiful historic lighthouse that you can actually climb all the way to the top. Just the views on the top of this Bill Baggs Cape Florida Lighthouse alone are worth the visit.

I grew up in Miami and we went here several times in the summer but NEVER entered the lighthouse, which is a great shame! Definitely an underrated beach. More locals than tourists but... they like to keep it that way!

The view from the lighthouse is amazing! We just visited two lighthouses in NC, but didn’t climb either (wrong season).

The view was pretty spectacular. I'm not sure what it is about lighthouses that make them so interesting and photogenic. We have never been to NC. Is it a pretty cool spot to visit?

@@LiveThatAdventure we recently stayed a couple of weeks at The Outer Banks & loved it! We camped at Oregon Inlet a bit S of Nag's Head - lots to see there. We would definitely go back! Kind of a chill vibe.
