I can't believe how Bellville looks-it's like we're in a completely different country compared to Cape Town. I watched the entire video, and I really enjoyed it. It's eye-opening to see how much Bellville has changed and deteriorated over time.

Belleville is on the wrong side of the Boerewors Curtain.

@blimages2 15 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment! While Belleville is often considered part of the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, it's not directly impacted by the ‘Boerewors Curtain,’ which refers to the socio-political divide during apartheid. Today, Cape Town is diverse and offers various areas to explore. Let me know if you'd like to learn more about the history and current culture of this fascinating city!

@@blimages2 Yes it was good times later got a car. The crazy hellfire and brimstone preachers and the blind beggar who played harmonica in his smelly old suit - 3rd class carriages in winter with all the windows knocked out. Fridays when it was payday there was game of cards and drinks to be shared.

I call it Hellville now because it has changed so much. I used to study and work there in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and it was not as bad at the time. Now, it is definitely a hellhole.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's true that Bellville, like many other areas, has seen a lot of changes over the years. The increased activity and population have brought both challenges and opportunities. While it's understandable to feel nostalgic for how things used to be, perhaps there's also a chance to embrace the diversity and vibrancy that new influences bring. Let’s hope for better planning and management to ensure that everyone can enjoy the area respectfully and safely. 😊✨
