A little look at the three lost railway stations of Bethesda, Tregarth and Felin Hen which were located on the long closed Bethesda Branch line in North Wales.
The line linked the slate quarrying town of Bethesda with the North Wales Coast mainline at Bangor. Built primarily to move slate from quarries like Penrhyn, it also had a long lasting passenger service which started in 1884 and lasted until 1951. Freight traffic remained on the line until 1963.
Today the line has been converted into a walk way and cycle path called Lon Las Ogwen. The station site at Bethesda has been redeveloped although some relics remain especially at Tregarth.
