Mommy, Ty and Kona were all born and raised in the States. Daddy was born in Iloilo and grew up in the States ever since he was 11 years old. In 2016, we all made the big move to the Philippines! Sarge joined our family in 2021.
Our name "The Tyko Fam" originates from the love and focus of our kids Ty & Kona. And as a FAMily, we enjoy spending quality time and adventures together.
Moving to the Philippines has changed our quality of life. We have the opportunity to do more travel, live our life on our own terms, and most importantly... to appreciate and learn more about our roots and culture of our Philippine heritage.

BGC is one of the new ultramodern futuristic city bubbles. There are new city build like the aseana city in pasay near mall of asia. It's an entertainment area where big casino 5 star hotels are located like las vegas, then there's Eastwood city it's a mini Hollywood like city wthin a city. There's the new ortigas center like new york and of course the new makati city.

Yes 🙌! Lots of ultra modern cities that have been around and surprisingly there's still many people (foreigners & filipinos) abroad who don't even know about these areas. Thank goodness for the social media era and tourism to help change these perspectives of the Philippines 🙂👍

BGC is just a bubble and once you leave that bubble, the "local" reality then hits you. I wish they can expand the higher standards used in BGC to the rest of Manila as many areas require a lot of work. Of course, traffic is also the worst once outside BGC...

Yeah, not gonna lie. BGC is a bubble, which makes it even more iconic for visitors. We can only hope the rest of Manila can be more like it. And as for traffic, we've learned to embrace it 🤪😄.
