Something about your recent videos have flooded me with so much emotion. I’m an introvert sort of, so when I see things like this (solo woman travels) it feels me up because I know that it’s possible. Long time subscriber but I never comment! I've enjoyed so many of your videos. I love these travel ones! Solo! I just turned 50 and it's on my "50 firsts" list. To travel alone! The opinion of others doesn't matter! Of course you'd prefer to have your kids 💯 percent of the time. Divorce is hard. I've been there. But since you don't - you are making the best of it and seeing your world instead of sulking at home on the couch eating junk food! Which is what I did. Good for you! I applaud you! I wish I would have ventured out! Let people say whatever. I never understood someone hate watching on KZbin then running to a gossip site. It's insanity! It just shows how much is lacking in their world. They need to dig deep and see why they do these things! It's not natural. What your children need is a happy mom, a peaceful mom and a well balanced one. You are doing it with grace! Keep it up! I'm cheering you on and getting inspired. Besides the restoration, this house looks like all the houses where I grew up in the Adirondacks. All 1800/ early 1900 colonials with porches and the same style interiors. My grandmother used to call her fridge the icebox. I think she got her first electric fridge in the 50s. 🥰

I went in a similar cave with 90 4th graders a few years ago (I'm a teacher) and it was one of the most stressful things I've done to date. I had a tight grip on a couple backpacks on the bridge lol.

Have you considered getting a backpack to carry Winnie around in on some of your hikes? I realize that she still may only be able to be out for so long, but it may extend a few of your walks/hikes with her. Our dog loves it when we take her on hikes with us, and she can only walk for so long. Beautiful vlog!

Oh Jenn it is beautiful there! You are so very lucky to be able to go to these places. I never was able to because I had three kids that I raised alone and I had a very physically demanding and long hour job. Now that I am older and my kids are grown I am not physically able to do it lol probably because of the physically demanding job that took a toll on my body and the money of course... I am grateful that you get to go tho and that you share your adventures so I can at least watch! Whens the next trip? Lol... Be safe in your travels...✌❤☺

If you are transporting firewood, you should make sure that it is heat treated. If it isn't, states have all sorts of different regulations that you should check out.

I’ve really been winging it for the most part these days. Sometimes I search for unique Airbnb’s and go from there. Sometimes I base my destination on the location. I haven’t been planning much at all aside from booking stays and air travel when necessary. I’m enjoying just letting myself explore in whatever way feels right at the time once I arrive.

You should try forest bathing/therapy if you’ve never heard of it. It’s where a trained guide takes everyone in the forest and helps everyone absorb the experience. There are guides in most states

I’ve always loved solo travel. I didn’t do it as often as a married gal but I’d go off solo somewhere at least a couple times a year. I spent an epic week in Paris solo back in my mid-twenties. Solo travel fits well with my current schedule and circumstances so I’m embracing it fully.

I heard you mention you forgot to bring firewood, I never knew this until recently but in Ohio you can’t transport firewood from one area to another (not sure the distance but it’s not that far). Something to do with spreading tree disease. Not sure if all states are like that.
