Exploring Boston: Brewer Fountain to the Kennedy Greenway via Downtown Crossing

Join me on an engaging walk through Boston, starting at the Brewer Fountain in Boston Common and ending at the Kennedy Greenway. This journey captures the essence of Boston's historical and cultural richness.
We begin our walk with a look at the Park Street Church, a prominent landmark known for its historical significance in Boston's abolitionist movement. Next, we head down Winter Street to Downtown Crossing, where we catch a glimpse of the setup for the Chowda Fest happening later in the afternoon. We pass by the flagship Walgreens and the Boston Irish Famine Memorial, which commemorates the Great Famine of 1845-1852 and the immense suffering and resilience of Irish immigrants.
Continuing down Washington Street, we encounter Court Street, which turns into State Street. Here, we pass the Old State House, one of the oldest public buildings in the United States and a key site in the American Revolution. The Old State House also serves as a stop on the Freedom Trail and houses a museum dedicated to Boston’s colonial and Revolutionary War history.
As we walk toward the sea, we see double-decker tour buses, duck boats, and numerous tourists in town for Boston Harborfest, an annual celebration of the city's maritime and Revolutionary history.
We pass the Aquarium Blue Line stop and end our walk as we approach the Kennedy Greenway, a series of parks and public spaces created from the former elevated highway, now a vibrant area featuring public art, food trucks, and seasonal events.
