Hi Manny... Thanks for this great walk in Bed-Stuy.. The art work was very impressive, especially near the end of your walk. I think it gives the neighborhood a sense of pride. Lots of new apartment and there are negatives and positives about gentrification.... The negative is that some folks are forced out due to huge increase in rents, expenses..etc.. and it seems that there should be some type of arrangement that doesn't force people out of neighborhoods they have lived for years and grew up in.

Thank you DN, I agree there should be some type of arrangements for people who have live in a neighborhood for generations not be forced to move out.

Really kool video. The mural @ 15:00 was beyond awesome. At 21:58 there is a mural of Shirley Chisholm who was a political representative in the 1970s. A new park was named in her honor in East New York a couple of years ago. Now, it's not bed ford but pronounced bed 𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒅 also, it's not sty VES sant but STY ve sant Plus, in the old days we said av nuh rather than a ve nue Another thing I hate about gentrification is that it causes neighborhoods to lose their old accents. Go through Flatbush and you never here people with the old Flatbush accent that Bernie Sanders uses. I grew up in East New York and, despite living in the Midwest for 37.5 years, I still retain traces of the old nasalized East New York accent. Once these areas are gentrified, the old accents and much of the old character is lost in those neighborhoods.
