But yes, the weather is perfect, the people are friendly here, and the only people who are not friendly here are the ones who just moved here from a place where they became used to people were not friendly. But, like all those new people, they eventually loosen up. I've traveled all over the United States and I can tell you by experience that the central Coast of California is the best place to live in the whole United States! We look forward to sharing it with you! 😘

I had to move out of state a little over 4 years ago because my family and I could no longer afford the cost of living there, but I long to go back constantly. SLO...my favorite spot on the central coast. Watch out for the seagulls, they'll decorate your head but not in a good way! This warms my heart ♥ I am a Cal Poly grad, and I wish I would have appreciated SLO more when I was there for college. Fortunately, we are still residents of Northern California, so we do get an opportunity to go back from time to time. Man, you were there at a good time it seems, at Pismo anyway. There are very few people around! And, I love the Splash cafe! During the years I spent in SLO, I never went to the architectural "graveyard," nor did I climb Bishops Peak, but we did party at the "P" though!! 😆🥤

Yes, I came back to SLO, as my husband had passed 8 years ago. I have his Service Dog, age 16 now, and find Dog Beach, set between Morro Rock and Cayucos and during low tides he loves tide pools. Not all areas are set aside as bird sanctuaries, thanks to this beach, but please pick up after your dog. While visiting check out San Luis Bay Pier and Cal Poly Pier is very near Avila Beach and town.

Just returned from Morro Bay my favourite place in California. Have visited SLO County a few times. Discovered this gem after I won a 2 night stay in a hotel of my choice (2012). After much investigation I chose the Madonna Inn. What a fabulous choice it was. First of all the hotel is unique and one of a kind. From this starting off point we did Montana de Oro State Park & Morro Bay. I have good friends in Phoenix so when ever I drive down I always go to Morro Bay, like you said it is my happy place.

Woah, lived here my entire life, and these people know more about my town than I do 😂 the views and vibes feel so normal to me because I see them and feel them everyday, and have for years, but watching somebody else experience it blows me away, I take so much of it for granite, makes me a lot more grateful for where I live.

I'm a local (Morro Bay) and loved your video. Splash Cafe really does have the best chowder, so NICE find. The next time you come back (hopefully not years from now!), you've GOT to visit Avila Beach (a combination of Hawaii and the French Riviera) and Cayucos (the last true California beach town). You will absolutely love both places.
