​​@@RyleighJayne I'm Thai. Sorry for making you feel bad about the elephants. This usually doesn't happen to most elephants. I think that mahout might be too impatient.😢 Normally the elephant hook that the mahout uses to control the elephant's direction. They use it to gently tap or pull on the head and base of the elephant's ears. Which will not cause wounds or pain to the elephant. It's like scratching for an elephant because elephants have very thick skin. And the mahout and the elephant have a lot of respect for each other. He will raise and care for the elephants like family members or partners who are always together. Sometimes they will spend their lives together from childhood until they die apart. Which sometimes lasts as long as 60-80 years.
